A short grammar of the Written Japanese of the Meiji era by the translator of the Kojiki. It is meant as an aid to those students who have already mastered Colloquial Japanese, cf. the authors Handbook of Colloquial Japanese. It includes a detailed index at the back and all Japanese is transliterated into romanji using the system devised by Mr. Ernest Satow.
