Mr. Twink Finds a Family

About this book

"Well, I call it a shocking waste of straw," said an old cock sparrow. "Yes, think of all the nests it would help to make," twittered his hen. "And a proper old scarecrow it makes him look," said a younger bird. "It doesn't seem natural," said another. "Whoever heard of such a thing?" "Ah, times is different from when I was a nestling," remarked the old sparrow. "It's these television aerials doing it." "Really, grandpa! What have T.V. aerials got to do with old Stubbs making a great silly of himself?" snapped the young bird.
