About this book
A lovely chronology of the life of Khin U, this brief biography feels ready for the big screen. Born to royalty in pre-war Burma, Khin U faces more than her share of adversity when the king and queen are exiled by the British and her family must adapt to a life very different from the courts. She dedicated herself to education both for herself and the children of Burma, and later serves as midwife, healer, and leader during British and Japanese occupation.
