About this book

"Laminated timber can be used in many different kinds of structures, from roof edifices to halls and even bridges. The elegant, lean constructions are being used with increasing frequency for aesthetically demanding assignments, and in certain applications such as thermal baths, its high resistance makes wood superior to many other materials. Furthermore, it has all the advantages of being an ecologically sustainable and acceptable building material. Laminated Timber Construction shows the spectrum of this technology using numerous examples from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, France, North and South America"--viewed on Amazon.com 4/28/2016.
