Greeting “Whether or not there is any poetry, or what is generally termed as such, in these verses, I leave to those who may read them. All I know is that the thoughts which they contain came to me from time to time, and which have been penned according to my ability.” “Whether or not they contain a thought that may be considered as helpful or cheering to another is not for me to decide, and it is with some reluctance that I now offer them for publication.
