The volume covers the coinage of south Italy from the middle or late tenth century, when MEC 1 ended, to the opening years of the sixteenth, when Ferdinand the Catholic, already king of Sicily and Sardinia, added to his dominions the kingdom of Naples, thus creating a political framework that was to last until the unification of Italy under the house of Savoy.
