The verbum interius reconfigures indeed some of the most important philosophical topics: God, subjectivity, creativity, corporeality. Gadamer's recourse to Augustine, Thomas Aquinas and Cusanus shows the relevance of theological questions for his hermeneutics, despite his hesitation to connect philosophy with religion. By means of verbum interius, it is also possible to understand the hermeneutic way of proceeding based on the category of event.
