Freedom's hope

About this book

Jessica Whitman lives for one hope: reaching her mother's family, the distinguished Hargraves of Baltimore, far from the clutches of her drunken father. Noah Reardon, bitter over a broken betrothal, wants nothing to do with people. So why is he captivated by the intriguing Jessica? Despite himself, Noah reluctantly offers his protection to this feisty young woman as she undertakes the dangerous overmountain trek. Together Noah and Jessica discover a shared passion for truth, for integrity, for the very ideals upon which their new nation was founded. Noah is tempted to make the biggest mistake of his life -- giving his heart to a woman who doesn't share his faith. Then a shocking discovery about Jessica's family threatens to shatter her hope. As they struggle to understand God's plan, both Noah and Jessica learn who truly offers hope for each tomorrow.
