Haunted tank

About this book

"Sandblasted in the Iraqi desert and cut off from the rest of their battalion, the crew of the Haunted Tank is not alone. African American tank commander Jamal Stuart has his M1 Abrams in full battle rattle and ready for anything-- anything except thier uninvited, whistling-Dixie, combat guru ghost. Jamal Stuart, meet your plantation-owning forefather! In times of war, Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart has assisted his descendants in battle. Though the general is a tactical genius intent of guiding his American compatriots behind enemy lines, his offensive and outdated mindset endangers Jamal and his crew as much as liberating the locals from tyranny. But the Confederate general senses something in Iraq that is all too familiar: the coming of civil war. As the Haunted Tank steamrolls into a conflict with no end, the old ghost's secrets reveal that there are some fates worse than death"--P. [4] of cover.
