With an attitude of gratitude

About this book

"In this yearlong accounting of his life and life's work, Donald Charles Lacy regularly greets the early morning in a posture of gratefulness, and with a heart of remembrance and receptivity. With daily deliberation, Dr. Lacy meditates upon the faithfulness of his God, reflecting upon those persons who have impacted his life, and always pressing forward with his life's vision and mission. From the heart of this man, who well understands the temporal and fragile nature of life, flows this prayerful and purposeful unfolding. Contemplative, worshipful, honoring of both God and man, Dr. Lacy recounts the memories, the moments, and the relationships which have filled his years and shaped his world. Together with his continued passion for life and for people, these recollections weave together a past with a present and a future. One day at a time, or all in one day, Donald Charles Lacy invites you to travel with him through seventy-five years of living and learning, of questioning and searching, and of experiencing the maturity which sorrow and struggle, tempered by God's tender nurturing, produces."--Page 4 of cover.
