The Critical Reception of Henry James

About this book

"Linda Simon provides an overview of Henry James criticism, beginning with newspaper and magazine reviews by James's contemporaries and ending with current academic criticism. Simon's book is the only overview of the main arguments in James criticism over the past 140 years. It helps readers understand the paths the criticism has taken and how scholars and critics have built upon past work."--Jacket.
