About this book

"For the Record: The Life and Work of Alex Steinweiss is the only book on this artist who has left an indelible mark on design and music history. It charts his entire career, including the patriotic posters he produced during World War II, features more than 150 of his covers in full color, and looks at the celebrated paintings and ceramics this master has created in his retirement."--Jacket.
