Ecology of predator-prey interactions

About this book

"This volume, edited by Pedro Barbosa and Ignacio Castellanos, examines the role of predation as a force that shapes the behavior, ecology, and evolution of vertebrate and invertebrate species. It is the first text to take a comprehensive and holistic view of the ecology of predator-prey interactions, providing the reader with critical evolutionary, physiological, and behavioral insights. Barbosa and Castellanos have gathered a set of contributors to respond to the renaissance of interest in predation. Their chapters incorporate empirical and theoretical perspectives resulting from the latest research on the subject and should challenge readers, present hypotheses that stir interest, and stimulate new research."--BOOK JACKET
