Contemporary Asian pools and gardens

About this book

"Contemporary Asian Pools and Gardens celebrates landscape architecture in its myriad modern guises. The new Asian garden is all about structure and sensuality, and the delicate balance of enhancing the architecture and design of the house that it encompasses. Secret nooks, meandering paths, sculptures, water features and carefully placed lighting all play an integral part in contemporary landscaping, as do pools, once exclusively the domain of the rich. With today's cost effective construction and better technology, pools are increasingly appearing in small apartments and penthouse apartments as design features. From gardens in large detached houses, to the shared spaces in condominiums, hotels, and public gardens, and from the latest innovations in fencing and gates, paving and pathways, to communal, infinity, rooftop or lap pools, this book offers a comprehensive look at some of the most beautiful and ground-breaking garden and pool designs in the region."--BOOK JACKET.
