The question for consideration is why it is that philosophers of religion primarily associated with the American Philosophical Association tend either to exhibit in their thinking that they are themselves traditional theists or to take only traditional theism seriously, whereas neither of these is the case for philosophers of religion primarily associated with the American Academy of Religion.
