Science with a smile

About this book

Contained within these pages is a humorous anthology of irreverent quips and stories from a myriad of sources. These anecdotes have been carefully selected by Professor Weber and have been classified into broad subject areas. These include tales of Academic Life, fun at Conferences, a section on Warnings, and even a measure of Food and Environmental Concerns. This anthology of humorous snippets presents the reader with a fascinating view of the whimsical side of science which, it is hoped, will fascinate, intrigue and lead to many a titter, snigger and guffaw. It also provides the reader with glimpses of the intensely human ambitions, frustrations, and elations of scientists as well as changing attitudes in their sciences. Although intended for casual, intermittent reading, the unguarded reader may find themselves unable to put this book down. You have been warned!
