Contemporary Art: Zkm Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (Museum Guides.......Large Format)

About this book

"The collection held by the ZKM / Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe displays works of art ranging from those executed using classical painting techniques to spectacular multimedia installations created by international artists." "Contemporary Art contrasts the new genre of multimedia art with art in its more traditional forms; painting, sculpture, graphics and photography. It puts these new works into the art-historical context of the 20th century and explores possible directions for the future."--Jacket.
