The essays in this volume describe efforts by faculty at the University of Texas at Austin to develop a network-based pedagogy which re-orients computer-assisted language learning (CALL) away from drill-and-practice applications modeled on print-based workbooks and toward a social-interactive model of second-language acquisition.
