The Birds of Africa

About this book

"The Birds of Africa is the first handbook to describe all the birds of the African continent in one series. These volumes have received worldwide acclaim for their clear, concise presentation of material and the excellent quality of the color plates, which vividly illustrate the African avifauna. The third volume completes the coverage of the non-passerine families, and marks the halfway point in realizing the late Leslie Brown's dream of a new African bird handbook. As in Volume 2, invited experts thoroughly describe each species under a comprehensive set of headings."--Bloomsbury Publishing
