Having the ability to project himself into other realms, the young David Kemp discovers the Spheals, a race of monstrous creatures. The entities, Tortenda, Anasa, Letho, and Corythucha, use David's mind to penetrate the minds of others. There, through a temporary realm, the creatures kill without remorse. Psychic Jacob Thrasher begins to see visions of the entities and assists David on a mission to save the town. After the deaths of close friends, they put their psychic gifts together. For the Spheals have only one criterion, and the outcome is a dominion of horror.
