Long-time journalist and military specialist Larry D. Rose examines the failures of the military, Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King's hidden agenda, and the divisions within Canada leading up to the country's entry into the war. He suggests that this lack of preparedness may have been directly responsible for two of Canada s costliest military defeats, the battle of Hong Kong and Dieppe.
