My chickens and I

About this book

"When a cardboard carton dotted with airholes arrived at her door, Isabelle Rossellini expected to welcome thirty-eight yellow chicks to her Long Island farm. Much to her surprise, her newly hatched brood included a diverse mix of heritage breeds - a discovery that prompted further research into the traits, behaviors, and history of each one. Pairing wry observations and fun facts with charming photographs by Patrice Casanova and hand-drawn illustrations by Isabella herself, My Chickens and I perfectly captures the fine-feathered glory and surprising intelligence of these spirited backyard birds."--Back cover.
