Many Members, Yet One Body

About this book

"The most terrifying issues for many people in the church today swirl around the topic of homosexuality: How should the church relate to gay and lesbian persons? How should we minister to their families? Is homosexuality a sin? What does the Bible say about it? How should we in the church assess our culture's opinions about homosexuality? How can Christians hold such opposite views on this subject? And then there are the two questions that are the central focus of this book: 1. Should the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America allow for the blessing of committed same-gender relationships? 2. Should the ELCA allow the ordination/rostering of otherwise qualified candidates who are living in a committed same-gender relationship?" -- Preface.
