The book studies the visual, historic and cultural identification of the iconography used in the design of textile fabrics from Chiapas. The region's ethnic communities have a rich tradition. The book is an iconographic glossary of the textile designs and patterns of the Maya communities: Bochil, Chalchihuitán, Chamula, Chenalhó, Magdalenas, Pantelhó, San Andrés, Tenejapa, Venustiano Carranza and Zinacantán.
