Dogs

About this book

"With beautiful images of dogs as faithful companions and loyal friends as well as hunting and herding, and striking images of dogs in myth as monsters or gods, this is a wonderfully illustrated survey of canines throughout the ages. From life-size sculpture to tiny engraved gems, from medieval floor tiles to Chinese hanging scrolls and from Greek vases to drawings by Rembrandt and Van Dyck, images from the prehistoric to the present combined with illuminating background information provide fresh insights into our long relationship with these engaging and rewarding creatures."--BOOK JACKET.
