About this book

"The multiple layers of painting, sculpture, drawing, and installation highlight Bonalumi as a consummate creator and visionary who has tenaciously followed his own personal path for decades, largely unconcerned with building a "reputation" or a public profile, indeed shunning press and remaining first and foremost a deeply private and authentic artist. This we find inspirational and in great contrast to the current vogue for the superstar artist. Bonalumi's credibility lies not in a projected persona, nor an ability to spin the media circus, but in the sheer strength and depth of his life-long artistic enterprise."--Preface.
