This artist's book is a kind of architectural guide through the history of the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. One emphasis is the relationship between Ethiopia and East Germany, with pictures of the former East German diplomatic representative and the ambassador?s villa, as well as the Karl Marx memorial in Addis Ababa, created by Jo Jastram and Peter Baumbach, to which Meise dedicates a whole chapter with thus far unpublished historical photos.
