The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., announces its "Playwriting Festival," June 1947-May, 1948, The Catholic University Theatre will present the first showings of seven new plays, an entire season of manuscript productions in association with the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Scienes which will serve as a channeling agency to send guest stars to Washington for appearances in the plays and The American National Theatre and Academy which will send professional playwrights and critics to Washington to see the productions and discuss them with playwrights and audiences.
