Les singeries du château de Chantilly

About this book

"At the heart of the Great Apartments, visitors are impressed by the extraordinarliy imaginative decor of a salon: the Large Monkey Room. An entrancing boudoir echoes it on the floor below: the Small Monkey Room. This pair, an example of the gracious genius of France under Louis XV, is among the most precious treasures of the demense of Chantilly. A few years after the Large Monkey Room, the Small Monkey Room has been restored thanks to the inspired sponsorship of the Groupe Panhard. It is on the occasion of the resurrection of this precious example of French taste that the present work has been published"--P. 4 of cover.
