Hidden selves

About this book

"This book deals with a complex and controversial subjectmultiple personality. It is based on an account from a survivor of abuse who talks about her own history of abuse in childhood and in adulthood, and describes her experience of having multiple selves, and the impact of this." "Six authors, who are therapists or counsellors respond to her story. One has multiple personalities herself. They each examine her story, exploring how they would understand her presentation and describing how they would work with her therapeutically. The authors' views reflect the controversy over multiple personality and their chapters represent a range of opinions evident in this field."--BOOK JACKET.
