F. Scott Fitzgerald A to Z

About this book

Drawing from a vast array of original source materials, including letters, autobiography, correspondence, reviews, and interviews with those who knew him, including his daughter Scottie, the author assembles the records of Fitzgerald's career not only as a literary artist and professional writer but also as a young man, husband, father and lover, and Hollywood screenwriter. This comprehensive and compelling collection includes more than 2,200 extensively cross-referenced entries on Fitzgerald's life and work; detailed synopses of all his major and most of his minor works; descriptions of all characters, fictional and factual, and coverage of all settings of his works; an overview of the critical reception to each of his works; and discussions of important people in his life, including family, friends, and literary associates. The entries are enhanced by more than 75 original illustrations of first-edition dust jackets, family photographs and portraits, memorabilia from Fitzgerald's private collection, and personal photos, some never before published in one source.
