"Arp: The Poetry of Forms" is the first major retrospective of the work of Hans (Jean) Arp (Strasbourg-Basel 1886 1966) in the Netherlands since the sixties. The German-French sculptor, painter and poet Arp is one of the most influential artists of the European avant-garde and plays an important role in the development of modern art. Besides eighty of his artistic works - drawings, collages, paintings, wood carvings and sculptures - there are visible examples of Arps poems, writings and publications.
