About this book

"Catalogue to accompany the exhibition Great Force, curated by Amber Esseiva. Great Force will present work by an intergenerational group of artists who explore, complicate or make complex, the persistent force of black-white racial constructs in the United States. The exhibition, related program, and illustrated publication will catalyze public discussions about race, how to render new representations of the oppressed and the empowered and how artworks can become tools in a struggle to appear.
