Paradise Beach is the story of a generation of children of Spanish and Latin American exiles exiled in Mexico who, in adolescence, used to go on vacation to Guerrero, right to the place that gives its name to this long story that masterfully portrays the helpless condition of their protagonists. Set in the eighties of the twentieth century, with a prose that does not escape a subtle black humor that, between marijuana and drowned people, Marcovich builds several identity cards in which the author himself - who narrates in the first person - does not escape of the ghosts, wishes, adventures and misadventures of characters who try to give meaning to their lives. It is a seemingly light story, but one that looks at reality with a frightening intelligence and, in one way or another, outlines the Mexico that is to come
