Ghostletters Vienna

About this book

"Ghostletters are fleeting witnesses, constantly threatened with being dismantled or painted over. They appear in all those places where lettering was removed. Many have remained visible in the public realm for years, if not decades. This book sets out in search of traces of these once-proud letters, provides insights into the tradition of Viennese sign painting, and recounts tales of what lies behind the façades"--Back cover.
