About this book

This exhibition seeks to recount the long and fascinating journey of this almost nine century old country, still emerging from a process of transculturality, together with the history of the paths that led the Portuguese to the four continents. These feats are illustrated through its most eloquent legacy: the artistic heritage created between the fading Middle Ages and the dawn of Contemporaneity, bearing witness to the culture of a people and the unique process of cultures meeting.
