L'ange du patriarche

About this book

Emmanuela can not say how, but she has the feeling of a subtle shift in the physical order of things, as Ai each object around her moved, moved or bent just a little, a centimeter or two, taking away the feeling of security that he gives to knowing everything strictly in the place assigned to him. An annoying illusion. Overwork, maybe. Haiti. When Couz, seventy-nine years old, calls her cousin Emmanuela to tell her dark family stories, talk about angels, demons and a wild karma, Emmanuela barely listens to her, she considers these stories of ghosts and vengeful spirits as unconvincing. Yet she must recognize that more and more disturbing things are happening around her. She starts to be scared. And if the words of Couz were not only the result of a disturbed spirit ... Kettly Mars takes us into a breathtaking saga with many twists and turns, combining epic breath and moments of intense emotion, proving that voodoo culture is a a source of inspiration and an incredible novelistic engine.--Translation of page 4 of cover by lalibrairie.com
