"This catalogue is the first publication of all the Venetian drawings in the Royal Collection of Graphic Art at the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen. Few of these drawings have ever been published, and only a handfull have been shown to the public within living memory. This is very unjust for research in connection with this catalgue has revealed that not only is the number of drawings this geographic region area surprisingly high, but the quality of the drawings is stupendous, counting some of the most beautiful sheets in the collection.
