About this book

The contributions in this conference volume present new archaeological findings and research from the ancient city of Assos. A new survey and documentation of the urban area has resulted in a comprehensive picture of the history of the structures in Assos and their changing function from the archaic to the Byzantine period, enabling the discussion of the questions of the chronology of the buildings, their meaning across different regions, and the order of their processes of acculturation and development.
