The remainder of the book concentrates on the teaching skills and professional competencies needed to become an effective teacher of physical education, and the reader is encouraged to use the evaluation exercises provided to reflect upon and appraise their teaching expertise. Aimed at students, newly qualified teachers and school mentors supporting trainees on school-based I.T.T. courses, it is designed to help new entrants to the profession reflect on what others have experienced and the findings of research to draw up their own personal professional development plan.
