A few years ago, at Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, an exhibition organized by thr Tate Modern, I came upon a reference, in a wall text, to a cultural conference in Lagos that Frantz Fanon was said to have attended in 1975–a remarkable feat for a man who had died fourteen years earlier.
