Scar Town

About this book

Scar Town is a dark, fast-paced young adult novel set in a harsh, divided society where people are judged and controlled based on their physical scars. The story follows Scarlet Grey, a tough, resourceful teenager living in Scar Town, a brutal settlement where those marked by scars are exiled and treated as dangerous outsiders. Scarlet survives through strength, loyalty, and street smarts, but her life changes when secrets about her past and the true purpose of Scar Town begin to surface. As she uncovers hidden corruption and lies used to control the population, Scarlet is forced to question who the real monsters are — the scarred citizens or the powerful leaders who created the system. The novel explores identity, injustice, fear, and social control, showing how labels and appearances are used to divide people. Scarlet’s journey becomes one of rebellion and self-discovery as she fights not only to survive, but to challenge the world that has defined her by her scars.
