No Idle Hands

About this book

The Mayflower foremothers' busily knitting on deck in route to the New World creates a picturesque scene, but there is no recorded proof that it's authentic, a notsurprising omission since knitting was so intrinsic to daily life that few remarked about it in journals, diaries or letters.
