First issue of a periodical by the Regional Cultural Association of Brugg (1819-29), featuring a text by Johann Melchior Schuler entitled “Beschreibung der Schicksale und Umwandlungen des Klosters Königsfelden,” which has a frontispiece engraving by Franz Hegi. The 1821 issue is entitled “Vindonissa; oder, Helvetien unter den Römern” and deals with the story of Julia Alpinula, a humanist hoax based on a fabricated epitaph by Paulus Merula.
