Magical Tome

The main focus of this first of a series of three exhibitions was Bukovac's life and work in Paris form 1877 to 1893, but includes his period in England, Montenegro and Serbia as well as the awakening of the art scene in Dalmatia. Works displayed in the exhibition were collected from Great Britain, France, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Hercegovina. The main attraction is a large composition Jesus, friend of the little ones, 3 x 4.40 meters that received an award at the Paris salon in 1888.
