The data consist of two surveys and a content analysis. The surveys are of 567 leaders of business and 621 military officers on the extent and nature of American involvement in foreign affairs (32 variables each). The content analysis is of 5 business and 15 military journals measuring positions towards American intervention abroad (31 variables).
