Une mathématicienne dans cet étrange univers

About this book

Yvonne Choquet-Bruhat was the first woman elevated to the French Academy of Sciences, and one of the greatest mathematicians and physicists of our times. She brings us an intimate tale that interweaves her personal life, her discoveries, and history at large. Her research activity spans a wide domain of knowledge, from the first mathematical proof of the existence of solutions to Einstein's relativistic theory of gravity, to the study of electromagnetic and gravitational waves in the vicinity of a black hole.
