Fleeting moments, floating worlds, and the Beat Generation

About this book

"This is a catalogue accompanying the exhibition that will be held at the Fisher Rare Book Library from January 29-April 27. The exhibition consists of the photographs taken by the Beat poet, Allan Ginsberg, from the 1940s to the 1990s. It features just a fraction of the over 7,500 prints held at the Fisher Library--the largest collection of Ginsberg prints in the world--showcasing Ginsberg's family, friendships, and his world. It is a view of Allen Ginsberg, the literary figure and global celebrity, as seen through the lens of his camera."--
