Aanvankelijk maakte Ton Schulten (Ootmarsum, 1938) carriëre in het reclamevak, maar in 1989 gooit hij het roer definitief om. Hij wordt fulltime beeldend kunstenaar. Samen leggen ze de basis voor een uniek imperium waarmee het Twentse Ootmarsum als kunststad op de kaart wordt gezet. In 1997 wordt Museum Ton Schulten geopend. Ootmarsum is altijd een rode draad in zijn leven en werk gebleven. Deze zeer complete, rijk geïllustreerde biografie geeft een up-to-date overzicht van persoon en werk van levenskunstenaar Ton Schulten. Exhibition: Waanders In de Broeren, Zwolle, The Netherlands (26.09.2015 - 09.01.2016).
