This manual provides sequential, illustrated steps for performing the SUPERPAVE test procedures on asphalt cements. It also serves as a self-contained laboratory reference document on those procedures. These tests and procedures represent the results of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) 5-year research effort to investigate and improve asphalt cement technology. This manual was developed under the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA's) National Asphalt Training Center.
